Jimmy Abbas, PhD, co-founded Center for Adaptive Neural Systems with Prof. Ranu Jung.
His research interests include neural engineering, functional
neuromuscular stimulation systems, biomimetic control system design, rehabilitation therapy for
people with Parkinson's disease, and advanced prosthetic system design.
In the School of Biological and Health System Engineering, Prof. Abbas teaches classes on neural engineering,
biomechanics, statistics and global health technology.
In addition, Abbas is Vice President and co-founder of customKYnetics, Inc.
Abbas received his ScB in bioelectrical engineering from Brown University
and his MS and PhD in biomedical engineering from Case Western Reserve
